Become a Sustaining Benefactor
Thank you for all your support for the Yonkers Philharmonic, both financial and as a member of the audience! Your contributions and regular attendance at our concerts have enabled us to continue to provide outstanding concerts in Yonkers.
Like many other arts organizations, we are looking into future financing. It has become evident that financial support from the State of New York, the County of Westchester, and the City of Yonkers is in jeopardy. Their support for the arts helped orchestra finance our free concerts and enabled us to apply for grants and corporate funding. We believe this basic support is about to disappear.
The Yonkers Philharmonic is continuing our successful individual donor program, “The Sustaining Benefactor” program that will guarantee a replacement for the basic financial support the State, County and City may not be able to provide. “Sustaining Benefactors” would make contributions to the orchestra above and beyond what they are already giving, guaranteeing the continuation of the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra in its present form for years to come. This will help us provide the foundation upon which we can build the remainder of our financing from both foundations, private and/or corporate sponsors. This will enable us to continue to provide you with free symphonic concerts.
Each Sustaining Benefactor would pledge to give at least $100.00 a year for a minimum of three years. This contribution will be completely tax deductible as we are 501 C3 not-for-profit tax exempt corporation. We are looking for at least 200 members to become Sustaining Benefactors. This would equal the amount that we feel we are going to lose from the State, County and City and will enable the Yonkers Philharmonic to remain a vital arts organization in Yonkers.
