Please consider placing an ad in our concert programs!
It is that time of year again when the Fine Arts Orchestral Society begins setting up the ads for our 2019-2020 Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra Concert Series. This year we have an exciting venue for you to enjoy including masterpieces from Prokokiev, Dvorak, Beethoven to Rimsky-korsakov among the notables.
This year we are producing 4 journals as we thought that our Concerto Competition Concert in May deserves equal recognition for the talents of our young artists who perform superbly as do our other concerts.. Again, we depend on the generous advertisers to make our journal a success and to provide our audiences with wonderful resources for them to use whether a local dining spot, an educational opportunity or for medical and dental care. You may just want to wish or remember someone special in your life and what better way is there to do it than providing a gentile thought in one of our ads that will be supporting free concerts for all.

Please become a supporter of the orchestra and make your donation today.
Or better yet – consider being a sustaining benefactor (see more below) and committing to donate over the next three years. Doing this makes financial planning much easier for us as we have a better understanding of what contributions will be coming in each year.
All donations are greatly appreciated – thank you for your continued support!

Become a Sustaining Benefactor
Thank you for all your support for the Yonkers Philharmonic, both financial and as a member of the audience! Your contributions and regular attendance at our concerts have enabled us to continue to provide outstanding concerts in Yonkers.
Like many other arts organizations, we are looking into future financing. It has become evident that financial support from the State of New York, the County of Westchester, and the City of Yonkers is in jeopardy. Their support for the arts helped orchestra finance our free concerts and enabled us to apply for grants and corporate funding. We believe this basic support is about to disappear.
The Yonkers Philharmonic is continuing our successful individual donor program, “The Sustaining Benefactor” program that will guarantee a replacement for the basic financial support the State, County and City may not be able to provide. “Sustaining Benefactors” would make contributions to the orchestra above and beyond what they are already giving, guaranteeing the continuation of the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra in its present form for years to come. This will help us provide the foundation upon which we can build the remainder of our financing from both foundations, private and/or corporate sponsors. This will enable us to continue to provide you with free symphonic concerts.
Each Sustaining Benefactor would pledge to give at least $100.00 a year for a minimum of three years. This contribution will be completely tax deductible as we are 501 C3 not-for-profit tax exempt corporation. We are looking for at least 200 members to become Sustaining Benefactors. This would equal the amount that we feel we are going to lose from the State, County and City and will enable the Yonkers Philharmonic to remain a vital arts organization in Yonkers.
We are eagerly looking forward to your response to this program, and thank you in advance for your support!

Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to be supported by ArtsWestchester and Westchester County Government.
ArtsWestchester Community Service Award
Established in 1965 as the Council for the Arts in Westchester, we are New York State’s largest private, not-for-profit service organization, working to ensure the availability and accessibility of the arts for all of the county’s residents. In 1975, we were named by Westchester County government as the County’s designated arts council and we became one of several united arts funds in the country, providing grants and technical support to cultural organizations and artist residencies in the community.
ArtsWestchester gave the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra an award for Community Service in 2012.
Westchester Community Foundation
The Westchester Community Foundation just awarded us a $15,000 grant for our 5th annual Beethoven Festival concert to be performed on January 27, 2019.
THE WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION’S (WCF) http://www.wcf-ny.org mission is to connect generous people to the causes they care about and invest in transformative ideas and organizations to improve lives and strengthen our community. WCF is a division of the New York City Community Trust, one of the largest community foundations in the country with assets of approximately $2.6 billion.
